Famous Poetry

I'm sorry that I offended you by posting a poem to your community. My intention was not to offend or make waves. I assume the topic of the poem was what you found offensive, rather than poetry it self (you didn't really specify). It might interest you to know that it is one of the more famous poems in English literature and is frequently quoted in the same manner as Carpe Diem: "Gather ye rose-buds while ye may." I thought people might find it fun to read the whole text behind the famous quote. At least I was hoping for a more scholarly reaction.

I am new to live journal and am not fully aware of the preferences of the various communities. I found your community because I read some postings by ivanna and thought she seemed like a cool person. I also liked the design of her LJ.

I have deleted the offensive posting. If you wish to delete the thread please feel free, I can't seem to find out how to do it after having deleted the comment.

For other famous poems and quotes this is a decent resource:

I hope that we can all get to know each-other and be friends. If, however, you feel that I should not be apart of your community I will leave graciously. Also if it is inappropriate to respond to being warned in the community by a posting please inform me as to the proper procedure as I have no other way of contacting you at present. If you wish I will delete this posting promptly also.
